SINGLE RELEASE: BEMY x SAINTE NICOLE, “l’AMOUR SUPERFICIEL”
L'amour superficiel is a light, catchy electro-pop collaboration between French-Polish band BEMY and French artist Sainte Nicole.
The track explores the shallow dynamics of a couple who avoid diving into the depths of their relationship, staying comfortably at the surface of their emotions. The song is set into the French electro pop scene, between bands such as l'impératrice and Adèle Castillon.
This release comes just ahead of BEMY's highly anticipated tour across Poland in March, with stops in major cities like Kraków, Gdańsk, and Warsaw, promising an exciting show which includes their many collaborations past and future.
The music video for “ L'amour superficiel ” is set in a dreary, grey, Brutalistic Warsaw, a fitting backdrop for the story of a couple lost in a shallow disconnected relationship. On what is supposed to be a holiday together, they drift further apart, weighed down by their inability to communicate. A rainy football game becomes a key moment, with the cold, wet setting amplifying the tension and highlighting the cracks they try to ignore. Throughout, they put on a brave face, pretending everything is fine, but the emptiness of their surroundings mirrors the growing distance between them. Directed and edited by Mattia Rosinski, and Co-directed by Sainte Nicole and Wojciech Trusewicz.
